Daughters of the King board, a group of six women from different churches, communities and two states, were invited to host a conference in the city of Chiang Rai, Thailand, located in the north of Thailand, close to the Laos and Burma boarders. The women's conference was the first of its kind for missionaries and Christian Thai workers. Approximately three hundred people attended, including pastors and some husbands and teenagers.
It was quickly discovered that worship music is a universal language. As the conference began and continued, it was very evident that God had orchestrated all of the details and each speaker shared the right message at the right time. Jeanette Johnson spoke on Friday night on the powerful love of God and His acceptance of us no matter what we've gone through. Connie Moland spoke on the exchanges that took place on the cross of Jesus Christ. Kathy Johnston spoke on the importance of knowing and using our spiritual armor, Linda Hagen spoke on the great move of God that is coming to Thailand and surrounding countries. Connie spoke again on Saturday night on God's purpose and destiny for women of Thailand. Janet Sannes of Crookston, MN, shared key scriptures for the missionaries to encourage and build them up.
After each session many women received prayer ministry. God visited them through the demonstration of His power in healing and deliverance. The Joy of the Lord fell on everyone at the end of the conference.
Again, the six women from the states were in awe of how God uses common ordinary women to be His vessels for meeting the needs of others. The Body of Christ world-wide needs encouragement.
Sandra Beach from Hillsboro, ND, was the photographer and recorder for the conference enabling us to share pictures of this significant event.
